This is our little Thanksgiving table setup at my in-law’s house. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

You forget about how important the simple things in life are until you don’t have them. Like a toilet paper roll holder that is so wide the bar keeps falling out, taking your roll with it. This greatly impedes your routine. Then by removing the problem holder, you have no paper to use at all!
But then you feel a great sense of accomishment after replacing the broken item that is usually taken for granted, allowing you to go back to your daily routine, never having to think about it again.
Hooray for fixing the forgotten, everyday items that are normally overlooked. Hooray for toilet paper.

Iron Craft 46 - Handmade Holiday
I have been participating in the Iron Craft challenge all year. This week, I created this stocking decoration out of felt using the Allsorts template I found last year (Note that they had a white background and red decorations. I wanted to do something different!). I used stiff felt for the background so it is more of a decoration, not an actual stocking you can put things in. This is a gift for our new home! I love Scandinavian crafts, and lately I’ve been having fun with the Dala Horse, so I threw this together. I used sticky white felt for the decorative pieces, but I may have to glue them down since you can see that they are shifting a little. Overall, I think it turned out pretty cute!

Pinterest - gotta love it!

I love Pinterest. I have the app on my phone, and the quick pin button in my browser. What don’t I love about Pinterest? All the 500 errors I’m getting.
Oh well, it’s so much fun that I’ll get over it.
What is Pinterest you ask? Pinterest is a virtual pinboard.
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.

Nothing is impossible. The very word itself says I’m possible.
How do you handle small disasters?
Well, we aren’t done painting after all! We removed the blue tape, and it took off the original white paint from the baseboards and chair rails! At this point all I could do was throw my hands up in the air and give in to painting some more. How do you handle your stressful moments? Get angry? Laugh? Try to find the up side?
